The F-35B is the successor to the AV-8B Harrier II aircraft in the US Marine Corps. The F-35B is a Marine Corps variant, characterized by short takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL) capability, allowing for Operating from smaller aircraft carriers as well as from field airfields, it is capable of carrying out close support, bombing, and air combat missions. The F-35B can carry weapons both in internal bays (to maintain stealth) and on external pylons (to increase firepower). The COBI model is equipped with the AGM-88G AARGM-ER anti-ship missile. Long-range radar systems designed to destroy surface targets, ground-based fixed and mobile radar stations.
